Rocked: Green Day - ¡Tré!

The last of Green Day's trilogy comes just in time for Christmas.  As an individual album, does Tre! deliver as another Green Day classic, or does it come across as more punk filler?

Rocked: Born Blonde - What the Desert Taught You

The debut of Brittan's Born Blonde delivers a flowing alternative sound behind its two already released singles.  Does it hit the right target on being original or does it only come across as another Coldplay knockoff?

Rocked: Deftones - Koi No Yokan

The seventh full album from The Deftones promises to deliver both a selection of both rough and mellow tracks.  After two singles already on the air, does seven prove to be a lucky number for the rock favorites?

Rocked: All That Remains - A War You Cannot Win

All That Remains change up their style for their new album "A War You Cannot Win".  Does the change-up prove to be another hard hitting album to blow out your Kickers to, or is the only thing that remains for All That Remains is another generic rock playlist?

Rocked: Flyleaf - New Horizons

After the news of Flyleaf's vocalist Lacey Sturm leaving will there still be enough interest in the groups third full album, or will New Horizon's be the bad aftertaste for many fans?

Rocked: Anberlin - Vital

Anberlin has produced another full LP, this time stepping up the energy in each track.  Is this another knockout or did it fall short compared to their previous "Dark is the Way; Light is a Place"?

Rocked: Dethklok - The Dethalbum III

The most brutal animated band is back with their third installment of the Dethalbum.  Is Dethalbum III another legendary launch for Cartoon Network's resident rockers, or does this album just deserve DETH?

Rocked: Coheed & Cambria - The Afterman: Ascension

Reigning kings of progressive rock, Coheed & Cambria, release their sixth full release and continuation of the Amory Wars.  Did the prog rockers progress in their line of successful story-telling, or is it the same old story told by another guitar solo?

Rocked: Muse - The 2nd Law

British Demi-Gods Muse go into a new territory for their sixth full length album, tapping into dubstep while still portraying their rhythmic sound. Did the UK's heroes succeed or did they drown in an electronica storm.

Rocked: As I Lay Dying - Awakened

California's metal heroes As I Lay Dying have released their sixth full album "Awakened".  Has age mellowed the brutal group, or are they still powering through with the volume?

Rocked: Ben Folds Five - The Sound of The Life of The Mind

The first full album from Ben Folds Five in 13 years.  Here is my openly biased but oddly criticized review of a much awaited release.  In the past, Ben Folds Five has never failed to deliver, but is the magic still in this piano band?

Rocked: Cloudscape - New Era

Sweden's Cloudscape offers its newest album New Era to represent the new-metal (nu-metal?) genre. Backed by some of the most impressive guitar work in the rock scene today, will these Swedish warriors offer the next dose of adrenaline?

Rocked: Matchbox Twenty - North

Matchbox Twenty's first full length release in 10 years proves that they are capable of bringing people back to the 90's.  It is as if the album North was somehow transported from the sound the group had back when Yourself or Someone Like you debuted.  With a big range of songs and something for everyone, North is an album that proves Matchbox Twenty still has it.

Rocked: Circa Survive - Violent Waves

On the heels of promoting and releasing their own album, Circa Survive succeeds in releasing a sweeping soundtrack that may stand as its most complete record ever.  Violent Waves delivers on many different levels, but it's the entire album as a whole that makes it stand tall in the alt rock scene.

Rocked: Owl City - The Midsummer Station

Owl City's new album The Midsummer Station is not what you would expect from one of the best live performing bands in the alternative genre.  While sparks of creativity are seen, the majority of the album is as bland as lukewarm milk.  Maybe there is more inspiration behind what is being presented, but as a whole this album doesn't deliver the bang for the buck.

Rocked: In This Moment - Blood

In This Moment's new album "Blood" delivers on many levels.  Whether it is empowerment, adrenaline, or driving rhythmic sound, Blood will give you what you need.  The end of the album features a fantastic cover and after a full listen, you'll see why this album confirms this group as a staple in the rock scene.

Rocked: 10 Years - Minus The Machine

The review for 10 Years' Minus The Machine.  A solid album that has a range of moods.  It's hard to say whether the full rock audience will accept it as the next big album, but Minus The Machine will definitely hit well with 10 Years fans and anyone who enjoys a good alternative sound.

Rocked: Anchor & Braille - The Quiet Life

The review for Anchor & Braille's second release, The Quiet Life.  Overall it has it's high moments that will stick with any listener, but it ends with the feeling of wishing there was more meat.  Not a bad album by any stretch, but somehow not what could have been another triumph by Stephen Christian.

Rocked: The Gaslight Anthem - Handwritten

The review of The Gaslight Anthem's fourth album "Handwritten".  It may not be the masterpiece to highlight their discography, but this one is still something to be proud of.  This album starts off incredibly strong but does succumb to a few tracks that won't reign over the replay button.  The pros definitely outweigh the cons though.  Handwritten, being led by "45", is something that people can pay full price on and still walk out happy.  Jersey fan's rejoice, your boys did well.

Rocked: Baroness - Yellow & Green

This is the review for Baroness' new album "Yellow & Green". I can honestly say this is the best and most complete rock album I have heard in years. It is in every way what an album should be, and it is a complete experience. This one is worth every cent.  It's rare that a rock album can be played from beginning to end without having to skip a track, but Baroness has achieved this goal.  I recommend everyone check at least one or two songs out on this album to see what I mean.

Rocked: Icarus Witch - Rise

An album review for Icarus Witch's new album "Rise".  It may not be the hardest metal album you are going to hear, but it's definitely got the right ingredients for a good soundtrack.  These are the songs you will be chanting for days after hearing them.  With a new singer and guitarist, IW may be around for a while on metal stations with this release.  Good stuff.

Rocked: Linkin Park - Living Things

A review of Linkin Park's new album "Living Things". Overall, this was a good listening experience and a worthy entry into the bands catalog (and might I add it is also LOADS better then their last release in my opinion). There are several good songs on the album that do have a great rhythm and the whole album really stands out as an electronica-rock release.  Less on the guitar; more on the turntable.  It's decent stuff and worth checking out.

Rocked: The Smashing Pumpkins - Oceania

Here is the review for The Smashing Pumpkin's ninth album Oceania.  Please ignore my bad pronunciation. Overall, this is the best thing from Smashing Pumpkins in ten years at least.  I'd be lying if I said it was as good as Mellon Collie, but this album is still undeniably good.  The constant guitar rhythm and ambient settings behind most tracks is what really pushes Oceania into an album worth having. This is a good choice for alternative fans who enjoy listening to music when in specific moods.

Next week is Linkin Park's new album!!!

Rocked: Walk The Moon - Walk The Moon

Here is the review for Walk the Moon's new self-titled album!  Do not think that Walk The Moon will be a one hit wonder if all you know is Anna Sun.  The band's first full release proves it has a lot of tracks to stand on (my pick being Lisa Baby).  If you still haven't heard Anna Sun, you will hear parts of it in this review.  Please watch and comment!!!
